Scrap - Class Work

I actually have quite a bit of scrapping that I haven't shared...so I'll make a start with a few of the class layouts I taught over the last few months!

I love this photo of my neice Delilah, although she is looking so much more grown up these days, she is now a proud big sister to Mackenzie who was born on our wedding anniversary 16/12 (clocking up 9 years for Steven & I)

Next is one of Charlotte, capturing a bit about her right now.  In truth she is kind of driving me crazy at the moment, Sebastian is more inclined to think before he acts and listen and do what he is asked.  I thought that her 'reasonableness' was supposed to get better when she turned 7, not altogether worse!

Book - A Song in the Daylight

Over the years I have read everything that Paullina Simons has written...Much of it I have loved and eagerly awaited her next offerings.  Her last book, Road to Paradise, left me feeling somewhat disappointed.  So, when her new book A Song in the Daylight was recently released I wasn't rushing out to buy a copy but seeing as they had it brand new at the library I borrowed it.

I finished it last night, I was actually tempted not to bother finishing it when I got to the halfway point but I don't like leaving books half finished.  In a nutshell I found the main character selfish and self indulgent and I felt no empathy for her, more repulsed by her actions than anything...hence the reason I didn't find it to be enjoyable reading.

My reading list for 2009 has ended up being quite a small one, only 16 books, but Shantaram and it's 933 pages of small print (fabulous book) took me 4 months!

Time for a Change

Well..the new year cometh and I haven't blogged in more than two months and not because I didn't want to...just too busy.  So I decided it was time for a change and have moved over to typepad and am changing the way I am blogging.  I have separated my blog into a few parts...this one for my creative stuff and a second one for family stuff which I have password protected...I haven't been keeping up to date with everything changing in the kids life enough and need to use this as my diary but don't really feel the need to share with the whole world but still want to share with family and friends.  So if you want to keep reading email me for the login details...I've made it an easy one to remember ;)

My plan is to add short, daily posts to this one about the creative stuff in my life that I love and love to share.
