Finally, my last installment for the KCWC....
For startes the first dress that I finished but the one that I photographed last. The dress is actually Charlotte's but she wasn't feeling up to modelling it so I borrowed Lil.
I cut this dress during the Oliver + S Icecream social in about August last year but never quite got around to sewing it together until I took on the KCWC! I made it top priority because I am finding more and more that I like to fisnish projects before I start new ones. Finishing things makes me feel good.
I love Oliver + S patterns, I have quite a stash of them and am looking forward to sewing some more for the kids :) I learn lots every time I make one.
Last of all I made a bubble T dress for Lil. These are something we make for Green Dandelion but when Lil modelled one for me she commented on how comfy it was so with a few spare moments at the end of my last sewing session I finished one of these especially for her. It took all of about 15 minutes to trim the bottom of the Tank and attach the skirt which was already made up and waiting to be turned into either a dress or a skirt.
So that's the completed round up for the Elsie Marley KCWC. Thankyou Meg for hosting such a fun and productive challenge. Pretty proud of myself for managing 10 completed items for the week (2 x boys shirts, 2 x playtime stripe dresses...don't forget to check out my tutorial for that one, 3 x Farrah shirts, 1 x Bubble T Dress, the completed Zozo dress and an Icecream Dress.
I am really looking forward to sewing along next time (presumably I'll actually be at home for the right week lol) and joining in on the flickr group!
USA update coming up shortly....
