Despite all the gastro that has been flying around this house (we have all had it, and Lil twice) I had an awesome weekend with Danielle here....Our photoshoot was Saturday afternoon and it started raining about 4.10 for the only hour that it rained all weekend...we persevered nonetheless and Danielle got some great shots...you can see our sneak peeks (along with peeks of all the photo shoots Danielle did here in Roxby) on her blog, or facebook if your on there....
The weather had been forecast for rain on Saturday all week, it often doesn't rain until around 3 here and when it does it is usual for the skies to clear as the sun starts to go down, unless it is totally pouring...what that means is that when it rains in the afternoon we usually get rainbows...I had joked to Danielle that it looked like it was going to rain Saturday but maybe, if we were lucky, we would get a kick ass rainbow....looks like someone was granting wishes on Saturday afternoon
I am thinking that another piece of wall art to go with this one might be in order...no prizes for guessing what it might say ;)
and bit more of that glorious rainbow...totally adore this photo...It was completely freezing cold and the kids did really well considering...by the time we got the lake Charlotte and Lil were both a bit hyper, but that's nothing unusual...it was fun...
Everyone having photos taken here was hoping that we would have some Sturt Desert Peas out...and sure enough we scored on that front too...it's the first time I have seen Peas in the wild again since we moved here 3 years ago
I am just so totally over the moon to have such wonderful shots of us here in the desert...the colours really are that vivid. I just feel lucky to have met and spent time with such an awesome person too. Danielle is the most relaxed go with the flow photographer and is awesome at connecting with kids...Sebastian wanted to keep her :)...I think we all did a bit!
The rest of the week I have felt like I have been on a roller coaster spinning out of control a bit. I have been a bit down and felt like I've been running trying to keep up but falling behind. It happens sometimes but I am lucky that I have such great sisters, both actual and honorary, who are always there for me when I need a shoulder.
Lots to do this weekend but I am feeling a bit reinvigorated, ready to dive in and get myself back on track.
