The September Storyboard kit, Camryn, has been released and sold out within minutes really! The kit is gorgeous so I am not surprised one little bit, there was much smiling, ohhing & ahhing when the box arrived on my doorstep.
If you want to secure and October kit you can contact Lis about subscriptions :)
Between all the gastro and a few magazine deadlines I had to wait until last week to finally crack this baby open!
I adore this photo of Lil, taken in Phuket...can't believe that was 2 years ago now...wow! The GCD butterfly paper is gorgeous and the butterflies just needed to be cut out. I doubled up a full butterfly with a half for some extra dimension.
Feeling a bit stumped about what to do next I used my 'complete' layout, which is in the current Scrapbooking Memories, as a jumping off point for the design. That really helped things to flow a bit better. Lil looked so pretty with her face painted as a butterfly at Lauren's staff family christmas day at the zoo last year. So Lil. I continued the stitching theme with a bit of a 'sampler' from my Bazzill Stitchez templates.
Some cute photos of Miss J, title and journalling about how much she loves singing and dancing right now.
And last...more Lil...
Lil pulls faces...lots! The chippie in the kit was fun to work with. I coloured it in with coloured pencils and then gave it a double coat of clear opals for lots of shine. The Basic Grey mini alphas were fun to use for the journalling, I finished them off (and made sure that they will stay put) with some rows of machine stitching.
Life has been a bit crazy around here for the last couple of months, there is a bit of a recap on my photo a day blog if you are interested to see what we have been up to.
I am excited that I'll finish off my last bit of deadline work for a few weeks today and can't wait to get stuck into a bit of sewing and fun paper play :) Lauren, Ali & I are having a bit of a scrap on Saturday night. I am keen to get into the blue bazaar boot camp and get through some of the many many photos I have piling up! So fingers crossed I'll have plenty of creations to share this month!
Anyway...time to finish getting the kids ready for school.
Have a great weekend!
