As I am sure you are aware last night my head was shaved having pledged to do so on Daffodil Day. In all around $3350 was raised (I still have some cash to deposit) and again I want to thank everyone who has supported me and donated to the Cancer Council.
Given it's Saturday and I enjoyed linking with Maxabella Loves so much last week for I'm Grateful For I'm doing it again this week and this week I did another vlog...2 days in a row, I promise I'm not going to start doing them everday I really don't enjoy watching/listening to myself...but I know there are a few people waiting to properly see what my head looks likes shaved and a video does it so much more justice than the photos!
What I am grateful for this week is my health and the fact that shaving my head was a choice, not something beyond my control. I did it to show support for everyone who looses their hair as a result of illness where it is not a choice and it is something beyond their control.
Like the stats say 1 in 2 people are affected by cancer...so as well as my father in law there are so many people I kept in mind when my head was shaved last night. One little girl in particular, and her mum, are people that I think of daily and say little prayers in my heart for them. They are my definition of brave people.
