One of the things I appreciate most about my husband is his ability to be silly.
WIth all of the day to day stuff we have in our lives that go with four kids, jobs and life I love that he does take the time to be silly. It's not all the time, but enough, and usually when I, or the kids, least expect it and often when I most need it.
We went to the Adelaide Christmas Pageant on Saturday. I suspect he was just as excited as I was about it. I love that he happily wore his red nose for the 10 minutes, and let me take a photo of us ;)
He cuddles me in the pantry.
He turns the kids upside down (as much as it kinda scares me), their squeals and giggles make me smile. He also tickles them and is much better at telling jokes than I am.
As Eden pointed out a while back, he has a rubber face. That makes him a keeper. I love it when we do get to have a rare date, remember just being us and have a few relaxed laughs together. Interestingly that post is one that gets regular search engine hits, apparently 'letter to my husband' is a popular search string in the Philippines, the things stats tell you hey!
He's kinda rubber bodied too, you should see him dance.
We have funny little 'inside jokes' that we never get tired of.
Regular bits of day to day silly really do make the world a happier place. I'm not as good at bits of silly as Steven is. I need to remember to let go and do it more because I love the feeling it gives me and the reaction I get from the kids.
What'was your last spontaneous bit of silly?
